TRD wheels on a black Limited - Black or Graphite?

I thought that this would be a better forum than the Wheels & Tires forum because my question is purely about looks.

I just bought a 2016 Limited and want to replace the wheels & tires with the 4Runner TRD wheels, and a more aggressive tire. I was going to go with black wheels since my truck is black, but from looking at pictures I really like the graphite wheels. I'm looking for opinions though - Would graphite wheels look good on a black truck or would they be kind of weird, since they don't directly match? I've never seen either wheel in person and I would hate to get $800 worth of wheels that I don't like. Thoughts? Anybody got some pics? Thanks!

    Graphite.

    Black wheels are way overplayed.

And in your case the wheel/tire/truck just turn into a blob visually. Contrast can be good.

I would go with graphite (matte grey) that's what I did in my black Tacoma... I felt with the grey it gave a nice color contrast and you could actually see the definition of the wheel.

That's exactly what I was thinking - Matte wheels look good in pictures and stuff but without contrast it's exactly what you said. I'm just worried that the color combo will look goofy on a black truck.

IHoopALot - Do those stick out at all? My limited has the minimal fender flares so I want to make sure I don't end up with a roller skate look!

Just got my graphite TRD wheels last Friday. I am going to put them on some Nitto Grappler tires this week. I have a silver OR LB. It was a hard desicion as to the TRD black or graphite. I thought the black wheels would be a bit too much with the black wheel fenders and tires. You have a black truck so I would go with graphite. I seen a few pictures on here with black trucks and graphite wheels. Looks pretty cool. Good luck

Go with the graphite, contrast will be good. I have a black limited as well and I would do the graphite on my truck if I had that choice.

Thanks everybody! I ordered the grey ones and will post an update once they're installed.

SwollenGoat, that might be a little too flashy for me...

I don't think I could run them either. ;) It is bit refreshing starting to see some colors.

Diggin' the grey. Black is a bit overplayed...betting grey will be the new black! ;) :D
