    So for reference:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/trd-sport-w-o-entune-premium.558515/

I purchased a 2017 TRD Sport 2WD DCLB on February of this year. I paid, 34k for the truck. It was missing the Entune Premium and QI Charger. Both of which are standard features.

So just today, I went to my dealer and inquired on why I do not have these two on my truck.
As I was waiting for my representative, I noticed that non of the 2018 TRD Tacoma have entune premium or the QI Charger. Only the Limited has it.

Sale representative kept telling me that it is the package that they received. And their distribution office is the one that choses what comes on the truck.
I kept telling him that it should be a standard, like hot the PTS is standard. But kept telling me that it only comes if you get one of the optional packages... The rest of the sales rep said the same thing, as it was getting kind of heated.

They then told me to go to the parts department. Apparently I was not the only one that inquired about it. But instead of just giving me the missing standards, they want to charge me 3 grand for the HU only. I'm like WTF... I go to distributions and they then told me to go back to the sales manager. Sales manager did not come out... Instead same sales rep tries to deflect the fault.

I got tired, and I also had someone with me, did not want to make her wait for something which seems to have no end... So I just drove back home empty handed.

I personally do not mind the Entune Plus, and no QI charger. As I like physical buttons and I do not have a phone with wireless charging.

But I believe I should get what I paid for... Meaning all standard equipment.

Tracking is a feature... not standard. I didn’t nit pick the 18 list when I bought this one... I have it and I paid for it... just like I did on my 17. You have this in black and white?

    Let me get this straight:

You closed a deal in February 2018 on a 2017 model.

You are wondering why it had an odd feature package, which does not appear to have been concealed at the time of purchase.

You are going back to the dealer and asking them to upgrade the radio, and it looks like you expect them to cover this.

Have I got your story correct?

I checked the stickers on the Tacomas on the show floor and they only say FM/AM radio, XM Radio, etc. The Corolla right next to it has the Entune Premium.

According to Toyota, Entune Premium and QI charging is standard on the TRD and upper trims.

Yes, I just noticed it recently. Since others on here have said that it should come standard. Others advice was to go back to the dealer and inquire on why it was not included.

So that was what I did today.

Just took a look at that other thread.

I see you are in Guam. Others also told you this (no Entune) is common in HI and it is believed that Entune won't work (my guess is because of map coverage).

After reading the previous post and subsequently finding that all the others were this way, why expect the dealer to have parts that don't come on a production vehicle? Why push this issue to a second thread when the most likely explanation is already in the first?

I took it that, the other member meant that in HI, since they have one dealer only available, that they do similar shady practices. From what I recall, even reading other threads, is that they still receive the 7in Touch Screen HU, without the ability to enter the VIN code for the entune app.
The Limited comes with the Entune Premium's HU w/ navigation, even though it would not work here. And the QI charger.

I was just following up on my experience.
