TRDs vs Procomp

No doubt man. If you do go with the TRD's I'll be jelly, but ya know, in a "your awesome" kind of way enjoy

 

the trd is a better wheel imo. first off toyota uses a low pressure cast to make it while i believe the procomp wheels are gravity cast. the paint on the trd wheels will most likely be a lot better as well.

i have a set of procomp 7028 in black and i was never happy with the powder coat on them they look ok but it just seems laid on in a hurry in the cheapest possible way.

if you can find the trd wheels go for it but, they are almost impossible to get brand new and the ones on ebay are waay overpriced.

 

another option would be to look into the konig countersteer off road's they are light strong and look great imo. plus you can support a tw seller in the process they are also rare so you not gonna see 500 other guy's running them either.

i personally like either the trd wheels or the 16 inch countersteer's

 

I have the TRD and it's brand new. I got them from toyotaparts4u.com but I had to call them tho. Also they have them on ebay too. I just have to put tires on them.

 

wtf! when i called them like 2 months ago they refused to sell them stating they where on back order or some bullshit.

i even called a buddy of mine who is the gm of a toyota dealership and my friend the factory rep who said they are not selling them to keep them exclusive to that model truck or fj. fuck i even swiped a vin# off line and called and said all of mine where stolen lol and they still would not sell them to me!

either way thats good for you man glad you got them they are of better quality in every way. pressure cast wheels are generally stronger than the gravity cast shit found in the majority of aftermarket wheels.

nice i was actually looking for the black trail teams fj wheels though those are the ones that light my fire lol.

these are very nice though fyi if it where me i call omf and have them manufacture me a rock ring to replace the one from toyota they made a few already and have pics on their site check this out.

the bronze ones are the tundra rock crusher but the spoke design is the same and they can align the ring any way you choose i believe so long as it does not interfere with the valve stem.

 

Glad to hear people are liking these. I bought some but waiting to get some rubber before they go on the truck. I am putting 255/85 on the rims.
