I'm getting close to the life of my stock Rugged Trails. I just hit 30,000 miles on them and I've been noticing a difference in how loud they are and they want to hydroplane on me. They also seem to spin more easily on wet roads. I don't recall them doing that up till this point.

So before I buy some new tires I wanted to ask the community here what they think with the penny depth test so I'll post a picture of that. Some of my friends think I have another 20,000 left in them and others think they should be replaced. Obviously most tire shops would love for me to get new ones regardless of how they look.

    What's your opinion?

I'd squeeze another year out of those, but I am a cheap ass.

That's what I was thinking but now my neighbor just told me he will give me $100 for the 4 of them. That has my wheels turning so to speak.

I'd sell them to your neighbor and get another new set with that 100 down.

When I replaced my last set (31 x 10.5 Bridgestones) I sold them for $75 on craigslist and believe me, they were worn out. One man's trash...

These are right at the wear Mark and for 100 bucks I would. Better then having the tire shop charge for waste fees and what not.
