Seriously considering going this route rather than the $11-1200 I would spend on duratrac's from discount tire, although I do like their warranty...but I would be saving $700 or so by getting these, hmm...

I just bought a set of guard dogs, waiting for them to come still, but I was in the same boat, and figured for the price, they are worth trying.

I didnt see the comment about the warranty till just now but Treadwright has a great warranty. I know of only 2 issues and both are documented here on TW. One was dry rot and they sent a new set the other was a blow out which could happen to any tire and they fixed and replaced for FREE...

    You will love these.

They come with instructions on how to balance and they tell you if the take more than "X" amount of weight to call and they will warranty them. Mine originally took less than most new tires. Now I have a bent rim and cant rotate properly...

That is what happened to the tires before these! My rear fender had flaming chunks of rubber on it!

The falkens? Lol, I was using it as a metaphor for open rear differential. Your tires literally lit on fire?

Yes. One wheel burn out on gravel. I had flaming chunks of rubber all behind my tire on the rear fender and the road I was one. But only did that to one tire.

When y'all ordered y'alls tires, at any point beforehand were they out of stock? How you do you choose which carcass to get? Can I not choose because they are out stock?

Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
if you get a set of 4, they will match. I called up and spoke with a very nice woman. she took my information down and called me back after checking what carcases were avilable in the tread and size i wanted. when she called back, i told her which i wanted, and they arrived a week later. they make ordering over the phone very easy.

Anyone have weights on the tires? I'm considering these for my next tires, but I'm concerned about MPG loss with going from Hankook ATMs to the guard dogs. Anyone have any information on that?

Love the Hankooks, but want something more aggressive. Any info would be great. Thanks.
