eh, you will loose some MPG's.. thats how it goes. for the most part, they are a great tire, and i would reccomend them to anyone. got mine on the other day and they ride better than my BFG's did.

Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
about 4-6 lbs heavier per tire than a similarly treaded tire (based on 285/70/17s). however, with the exception of an all out tire like intercos, swampers, etc, the firestone MT (21/32'' tread depth) is the only "normal" tire to have more tread than the guard dogs, at least that i could find. the bfg MT and mickey thompson MTZ both have less tread. deeper tread=more rubber=heavier

285/70/17. Like Colin said about his experience, i called them yesterday, spoke with a lady named Leslie multiple times as she was trying to find out what casings were available. She was super nice, gave me multiple options and i finally decided on the BFG Mud Terrain casings. I was very shocked to hear read in the email that they will be at my house on Saturday. Sooo Excited!!!

Just basing it on what the FedEx tracking says, these should be about 65 LBs each.

Been through 3 sets on my Silverado. Tread wrights have been awesome. Me and about 7 friends have all USED them. Mountains, hauling, and everything you can imagine. They've lasted, performed and worked hard. Only gripe is the wait at certain times of year to get certain sizes.

So here is the 4 Treadwright Tires currently on my truck after somewhere around 25,000 miles on them... Keep in mind i couldnt rotate tires for almost 10,000 miles due to 2 bent rims.

got probably 3k miles on mine now, still look and ride new. love them. however i noticed these are huge for being 285's... my BFG's didnt rub the front mudflaps at full lock, and these frigging things just about took them off on small bumps/turns. so i took all my flaps off, and love the tires. gas mileage has taken a huge hit though, probably due to the weight.

Just ordered a set of 285/75/16 E Wardens. 4-6 weeks :( Thought about the Guard Dogs but I would like the better mileage of the All Terrains plus it never rains here so no point in mud tires when there isn't ever any mud.

The MPG is also partly is because the tires are that much bigger. Are you factoring in the size difference and recalculating?

So update on my tires... I have had 3 different sets of tires and they have all lasted HALF of what everything says... so these tires lasted approximately 25,000 miles. And still some tread left. But I want/ need 315's
