Actually I'll respond again, yes they are junk. They are retreads and I doo know of a person who bought the fake BFG AT knock off looking tires and they lasted 6,000 miles of not balancing only to finally cup and get removed

I would run them on a trail-only truck. Will never run retreads on an on-road vehicle.

If you’re looking for cheap tires, look at tire companies that are owned by major name-brand companies. I think Hercules is owned by Cooper and they have a cheaper version of the STT Maxx’s

    Actual reply:

Brother ran them on his joop for a while. He didn't have any problems, I don't know how many miles he got out of them.

BFG KM2 255/85r16 Bilstein 5100s OME 888, HD Dakar’s, JBA control arms, BAMF Shackle hangers and shackle.
I had them on a previous vehicle. First set cracked from UV damage quickly. Treadwright replaced them under a prorated warranty. Second set did pretty well, drove the interstate,OffRoad, winters etc on them. One of the carcasses didn’t match but that was before they had the bead to bead option. One of the carcasses was also older then five years. I would say don’t do it and spend a little more for peace of mind. It was always on my mind when on the interstate with them that something bad would happen. Never did happen. Sometimes local laws prohibit the use of retreads. My experience with the customer service was nothing but positive though.

Ok, first off...folks in here don't understand the difference in re-molds and re-treads. they are different, go watch their process.

that being said, I do have Treadwright guard dogs in 35x12.5x17s. They perform well offroad, they ride uncomfortably on road. Could be just my set of tires, could be all of them, but I know others that have had them and had no on road issues.

I cannot speak to any that are not the Guard Dogs.

For the price, I would buy them again on a trail rig, not a daily driver. No, that's not because they are re-molds that's simply because they aren't as comfortable as other tires for daily road driving.

    my .02.
