Treadwright.com - Looks like cheap BFG KOs

Mine have been good 90+ multiple times...

I do have the Gaurd dogs though

 

I'll be rocking the guard dogs as my next tire. Is the kedge grip worth going for if I don't wheel all that often?

 

No its not worth it unless in a BUNCH of snow or ice...

 

My guard dogs have seen 90+ a few times with no issues. Actually I am impressed at how well these tires ride at higher speeds. And I don't believe there's any evidence that would show proof of them "blowing out" above 80.

 

and you trust them to do so again? like stop and go traffic on the highway where maybe 2 lanes are backed up moving at about 30 and 2 lanes moving at 80 you feel comfortable enough with the tires to gun it and go? pretty nervous bout retreaded tires especially if my son is in the car and we like taking road trips so i need something reliable for speeds and the long haul

 

good to know but maybe i will pop on these. do they have white lettering or is it just plain black?

 

My son was with me on our 1200 mile road trip to Alabama and back 2 weeks ago. That's where we saw 90+ a few times passing people in those long bama back roads. I haven't doubted the tires abilities yet. They really are a great tire.

And mine came with white letters on 1 side so when I mounted them I mounted ten white letters in. I don't car for white lettering. But you could call treadwright when you are ready to order and ask what casings are available at that time. That's what I did to get my bfg mud terrain cases.

 

nice thanks! was hesistant about these but after all the backing from you guys and reading about their customer service. no sense in paying 250+ for just a brand name. piece of mind however is a different story

 

Anyone have input on how many miles they got out of the GuardDogs? I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a set in the spring.

 

I'm at roughly 13-14000 miles right now and still going strong. From what I have heard around 30-40k is the average for a set of these.

 

Thanks for the input Jason. My KM2's currently have around 25K miles & probably have just less than half the tread. While they perform well in mud & have lasted well, life wise for a MT, they were way too high $ wise. Half the $ for the GuardDogs with good mileage is very appealing.

 

About the same here. I abuse the hell out of mine too...

 

re-tread tires on the highway? think its a bad idea? Ask a truck driver, I would say MOST of them use re-treads and it seems to work for them.

 

Ill be getting another set for my current truck and a set for my wifes H3 in the spring. Great tires.

They have had Bead-Bead tires out for a little while, probably at least 6 months or maybe more. They look pretty nice. I still love my guard dogs.

 

I had 31x10.5r15 guard dogs on my '01. I loved those tires.
