yeah im stuck between the gaurd dogs and back bones. wich tread pattern would be better for a 2wd the gaurd dog with smaller gaps inbetween tread or the backbone with the big gaps?

Very interesting, really doesn't seem to be any downside to these. The M/T's look sick!

I am very tempted by these. Somehow I am still freaked out by the idea of running retreads though...

I have a set of 285/70/17 Guard Dogs on my truck that I purchase used about 2-months ago. When I got them, they had less than 5k miles on them with still tons on tread left. Almost looked new. They are a little loud, but not expecting it to be quiet for a mt. I'm sure there are some out there that are much more quiet, but not at this price.

They balanced fine. I get a slight steering wheel wobble at about 35-40, but I'm sure if I went back to get them rebalanced, it would go away.

I drove from Houston to San Antonio yesterday with no problem. They were smooth, even at 80mph.

I'm currently running three Warden A/T's and one Original BFG KO, and I can barely tell them apart. I've noticed the tread on the Wardens are a little tighter than the originals. I probably have 1,000 miles on them now. I've driven from Ohio, to N. Carolina three times, and multiple other places in-between. These are the REAL deal. I've wheeled the shit out of them, hit massive potholes (on accident) and have a few road trips on them. They run smooth!

I had Goodyear tire mount and balance these. They did it the first time no problems at all, they even praised how easy it was. Treadwright provides a note to give to whomever is balancing, to help balance the tire. The tire comes pre-balanced from Treadwright, so the note lets the "mounter" know how the pre-balance was done, and what to do next. Simple as that.

I'm buying the Guard dogs next!

    I recommend these!
