they're mounted and balanced, but not on yet. these are just my trail tires. i'll mount them in the next day or two and run them before the drive on thursday to make sure they're good.

Interesting, I don't need the kedge grip, but if it made them ship two weeks faster it would be worth it.

"Kedge Grip provides additional traction in slippery conditions. It does this by creating small pits on the tread surface with the walnut shell and adding additional grit to the tread with the crushed glass. With the additional open area on the tread the tire will wear about 15-20% faster than a tire without Kedge Grip."

No go for me, I don't need it and don't want my tire wearing out that much faster.

No a m/t isn't for me, not much off roading, mostly highway. The Warden is an AT tire.

finally got mine slapped on the truck yesterday. the backbone's are fuggin loud.

BGR, also just noticed that the A/T casing they sent me is a load range E while the m/t casings are a load range D. going to call them when i get back from harlan. also, 3 only needed 2-3ozs for balancing and one needed 12.5oz. per their note, that's beyond their specs.

Just my 2 cents: I've just installed 3 sets of the Tread Wright gaurd dogs, load E, on 3 of my work trucks: (2) chev 2500 HDs, and (1) on F250. They've only been on for about 100 miles so far; so far so good, didn't require much weight to balance either. 2 sets are on BFG AT carcass, and 1 set is on Yokahoma Geolander carcass.

First Impression: The Gaurd Dog has a tighter tread than other mudders, they make a "ZZZZZZ" instead of a "HMMMMM". They feel super smooth, smoother than my current Cooper STT and KM1s I've run in the past... but they are brand new, I'm sure the tone will change once they hit 50%. 1 set has been through about 100miles of rough gravel and no signs of chunking, the others have been on 95% road and look fine, again, brand new. The "retread" looks good, but is obvious up close on the sidewall where the new tread has been adhered to, but they still look fantastic considering the price: not bad, just noticeable if you're looking.

The service/shipping has been excellent. There's only like 1 or 2 ladies that take the calls, already know me by name after 3 purchases. Price is right, paid like $480 to get all 4 to my doorstep + $40 for mt/balance.

I'll update in 20K or so and let you know how they hold up: they'll be off-road alot, high highway miles, and all the time a loaded truck on top of them. If they hold up well through this (all other tires only last 1 year around us) I'll let y'all know either way.

    Another update...

The tread is still barely broken in. I've been to San Antonio again with zero problems. When it's time for a new set of tires, I'm getting these again.

I did some light wheelin' with them, and their performance was great.

I'm on my second set of Wardens (went down a size to 265 from 285).

This second set was a littler harder to balance, as they took 5oz this time around. They ride great with absolutely no issues. I've taken plenty of road trips at 80mph with no problems. Highly recommended with great customer support.

i wasnt able to do too much at harlan on them. the 12.5oz was on one od the D load tires. stuck that one and the e range on the rear. they handled fine on the road and did fine on the lil bit i got to do on the trails. they did appear to be slightly pulling apars at the tread/sidewall crease though on 1-2 of them
