Yeah I like the mtr side wall. With that on the guard dogs that I have makes me like them more than the duratracs I had. The side walls on those were not very good.

When I got mine toyo skins was all they had.I ask about the MT-R skins was told it could be 4-5 months out.I would have rather had them to. But the toyos do a good job.I really liked the way the Toyos balanced. They told me the toyo skins normally balance a little better. But they may have told me that because that was all they had at the time.

I got mine to balance to zero all around, but mine still vibrate. Might take them off tomorrow and redo them with a different balance setup. Should be quiet in the shop tomorrow.

you have to static balance them, they are made that way. also, if they take more than 9 ounces, treadwright will replace it, but they wont accept that all 4 tires are not balance-able...

Hey Mike got my gears in yesterday. Its a little busy with my 265s.About 3000rpms in 5th at 70 mph.But I think the 285s will calm the beast a little.Love the torque and theres no more riding the clutch or reving the motor on take offs. Was going to wait till spring to switch wheels/tires Cant wait going to be nice tommorow going to switchem and see what I got.

Good to know, I can't remember how much they needed the first time around, but if I remember right the one I put in the R/R was pretty close to 10oz. Will see tomorrow, I have only had them for just over 1000 miles.

yea thats way too much. you have to balance them statically, they are made at treadwright like that. id say avg they all take 2-3 ounces.

So far i have done the 2 on the right side, knowing the R/R was going to be the worst. I got the R/F down to 3 oz but the R/R took a total of 18 oz to get to zero. So i will be calling them about that one, but i still need to do the other 2 after lunch. After i do them i will let you know what i found with them cause i think the one on the L/R was pretty high the first time around.

And actually the R/R started at over 25 oz but after indexing the tire 2 times i got it down to 18 oz.

That's prob the reason. Bfg's don't balance well as virgin tires let alone retreads. Sorry man, at least you'll get a couple spares out of the deal, just will have to wait forever to get a matching casing as everyone wants bfg's

Now that i'm done with my workout, here's what i found:

These numbers indicate total weight to get the balance to zero, balanced statically.

    L/F-1.5 oz
    R/F-3.0 oz
    L/R-20 oz
    R/R-18 oz

I will send them an email seeing if they can help me with thos 2 rear tires. I indexed both of them 3 times each, they both started around 25 oz and this was the best i could get them too. I have faith that treadwright will help without a problem. I still love these tires even with my vibrations. It's like i told my coworker, you dont buy tires like these and not expect some vibration and road noise.

When you say indexing what are you meaning? Break down the tire and rotate a 1/4 turn on the rim?

Yes, i start with a 180 degree turn, then if that doesnt change it go another 90 degrees, then if that isnt right, go another 180 and that basically covers the diameter of the tire. Very quick and easy way to try to help balance/road force issues.
