The girl told me balancing instructions would be included. What kind of special considerations must be taken to balance these tires?

"Static balance" vs "Dynamic" Also, have the tire shop split the weight between the inner and outer lip of tire.

I ordered the set Monday, was told 1-2 weeks processing time. I just received an email from FedEx, they will be here Friday. That is just fan-fucking-tastic. Will keep the thread updated and post pics.

Anyone seen the special that they currently have on 265/70/17s?
The Guard Dog is $115 each and the Warden is $108. Plus shipping of course.
Not the size I need but a great price for the right person.

What kind of casings are folks getting from treadwright now?

I see that they no longer accept accept requests for specific brands of casings when taking orders. According to them you can no longer request a specific casing, say a BFG A/T KO. If you request BFG you will get whatever they have.
That kind of sucks but I guess I can understand.

I ordered one Guard Dog a few months ago and it was a Bridgestone Dueller A/T. I actually like better the the other 4 BFG casings I have.

    Pics of said cracks?

Also, I believe they are still using gently used casings. They're not manufacturing all new tires and are still in the retread business. What they're doing is sanding down the old lettering and putting on a new, thin layer of rubber over the old with Treadwright stamped on it. This way, they can use 4 different casings and you wouldn't tell the difference.

That is exactly why I won't get a set with the new sidewalls. If they start only offering those, without a way to verify that all 4 are the same casing, I will not order another set of treadwrights.

Unfortunately, this is the only option in the size that I need.

Reading the website they still say that they ensure the casings are the same. They wait till they have 4 of the same before they are sent out.
