Sounds good that they are going to give you a loaner car, hope they get your truck fixed correctly!

Hey guys here is another update. I went to the body shop to pick up the loaner car I talked to the manager, he told me that some parts are on back order and that the touch screen was scratched and asked if it was from the tree, which it was. So he said that will have to be replaced and that's about $3,500 that bring the estimate up to a little over $15,000

I luckily dodged that bullet. I had a tree fall at my camp right where I park my truck, it would have covered the entire length of my truck and the some. Lucky for me, my truck wasn't parked there when it came down, I had just left a few days before it fell.

So glad you were able to get yours fixed, I hope it's OK after the incident.

Glad you finally got it back! Funny story my wife and I went to the beach last month and there was a bad winter storm coming so I parked my truck in "her" garage instead of in the driveway under a pecan tree. She asked why(sounded like get your truck out of my garage) so I showed her this thread. End of story.

Thanks guys. The funny thing is at work a few weeks before the tree fell on the Tacoma, it was really windy and the tree near my truck was moving a lot so me and one other guy went and moved our cars. On the day it fell I was off and though about going in till 3 for some ot but decide not to, and the tree fell on the truck around 2:50-3:00 lol I would have just missed it.

Life is ridiculous like this lol. Life tried to save me from hitting a deer one night, but I did what I wanted instead of what life wanted and suffered without my truck for 5 weeks after hitting the deer at 70mph

Are you happy with the work? Any concerns about having issues in the future with paint or other replaced parts?

    Just curious.

I was driving home from Lawrence around midnight, which is normally a 20-30 minute drive but I took the long way, had some fun on some dirt roads, slowly winding my way back home. It was about 1:30am and I was getting tired so I decided to cut the cruise short and headed for the highway. Got to the highway but I missed the on ramp because it was a lot closer than I'd expected, so I continued on and figured I missed it for a reason and I was meant to take a different route home. About a mile down the road I decided screw it, I was tired, and turned around and hopped on the highway. About 3 miles in I see flashing red and blue lights, as I approach I notice they're not on the shoulder but in the left lane, then I notice there's 1 cop facing the correct direction, with a newer Camaro facing the wrong way in front, and a second officer facing the same direction as the Camaro boxing him in, nothing else, didn't see anyone outside, hadn't seen another vehicle in almost 30 minutes. I figured whatever happened must have been why I missed the on ramp originally. Then about 10 miles further a deer jumped right in front of me from out of nowhere while I was doing 70mph. If I'd just listened to my instinct :notsure:
