I rode the bike to work, so when I get off at 8 and get home will see what the plan is!

The powers that be have come through. Summer trip planning needs to begin pronto... I'm off August 5th through September 4th.

Preliminary outline of what I'll be doing:

Wheeling, beersploring, camping, hiking, backpacking, catching up with old friends and family

Heading into CO that first weekend and will probably spend a week there. From there I'll wander into WY, followed by ID, OR, and WA, then I head back to the heat of the Texas summer.

I'll be camping in my truck 90% of the time. I've got a shower and a bed so why the hell not. A few days I'll spend at a buddy's that lives in Idaho and with my brother and sister outside of Seattle

It ought to be one hell of a time, but now I need to figure out where all I'm going, or just say eff it and wing it.

Definitely going to be a lot of pics! I'll bring back a lot of beer too, super excited about that.

That's a good call... planning the route and have some wing it time in there, I'll do just that.

    @trekker

May be trying to go out to Barnwell on the weekend of July 1st for Friday and Saturday night possibly, may end up renting a bunk house so have AC and such at night for the lady... Also going to try and get my dad to come out and bring his stock Jeep Sahara to try out on the trail and see what it can do maybe.

That sounds awesome!!! I may have a housewarming party in DFW that Saturday but I'm not sure right now... maybe I could get out there and wheel Friday and Saturday morning if that party is still on.

That works as well... if you are there after 5:30 on Friday you don't have to worry about paying the day use fee for that day.

That's cool, although I'd much rather pay the fee and have more time to wheel with y'all, but that's really good to know. Thanks for the heads-up!

I won't get off work till 4pm, so by the time I get home, get in the truck and all that jazz won't be till after 5:30 by the time I get there.

I think I may actually rent a bunk house for Friday and Saturday night... not a bad price for it all honestly, may go ahead and get a TMTC membership as well.

Will have enough time to wheel on Friday night since daylight is out till like 8-9 and then I have lights...

Will have plenty of time to wheel on Saturday and Sunday for sure though.

Sounds awesome man. I look forward to seeing y'all, even if it's for a few hours Friday night.

Going to talk to the father tonight and see if he wants to or not. If not, may just do one night honestly, but would rather do two.

I think for both nights it would be around $170 or so for the entire thing including the park fees and bunkhouse fees.

That's not bad. Got anyone committed to joining yet? After this weekend I'll find out for sure from my buddy Josh if we're doing his party then. We had to reschedule from last weekend when his AC went out the day of the party. #Texasproblems

Trip sounds like a great time. I've been thinking about planning one similar next year but in a shorter time frame.

    Not yet I don't think.

I would try and do Tyler State Park instead... but it is booked full already.

Trying to get @Zac of all trades to come maybe.
