Those "cowards" are in fact trained, but I have mixed feelings about it. I am leaning more towards the officers in this case.

It's his right...That guy has had run-ins in the past w/ police, so I'm sure he's trying to be a watchdog...but he went too far.

Anyone with any dog background would see that Rot as scared. We've probably fostered over a hundred hammered pits, most were fight or bait dogs. Got four here that my kids roll around with everyday. That was an absolute act of cowardice.

sounds like the hostages could of been put in more danger with gun fire, depending where they were at in the stand off. bad situation around for everyone.

Not true at all....There is little to no 100% certain anything with dogs...and scared or aggressive - A dog bite is a dog bite.
I've seen dogs play with owners that if I didn't know better I would think was an attack and I've been bitten by dogs that their owners have told me are "bombproof" because of a loud unfamiliar noise.

I also don't agree with "scared" because the dog continued to move TOWARDS officers. Scared cowers...Panicked pr aggressive advances. And any of them can get you bitten.

Seems like too many people see the internet, and really like the bravado of wagging a smartphone at others. Monkey see monkey do, it makes them feel big. This is our future? Everyone wagging cameras at each other bickering about their perceived rights. Too bad they didn't try to take the cameras and help in the prosecution of criminals, hit n runs, purse snatchers etc.

No, that is BS. Its like the video of the biker getting arrested so the cop could confiscate his go pro camera.

While I agree that it is pretty said to see so many people whip out there phones, I sure as hell don't want the police to become the Gestapo.

damn brunes i actually agree with something you posted:eek:

what other outcome was there? please tell me the other possible options you would have come up with in the 10 seconds it happened? quick dial cesar milan? give the rott some snausages and make him a bestie? if your wife/ husband/ father/ son was one of those cops would you be like " well gee, you coulda waited for him to maul you for a few minutes then he woulda tired himself out."

anyone that lived in reality would defend themselves if a big fuckin dog was trying to attack them. the dog wasnt scared. it was trying to defend its dumbass owner. obviously never read the quote i posted for you.

There were 3 other angles of this, The guy drives up in the black mazda. Stops in the corner all awhile that loud music is coming from his rental Mazda 2... The guy starts wondering around closer than everyone else has. He was asked to turn down the music and get across the street... Where he denied.

The police were there because of a hostage situation where the perp had a gun and they were trying to talk through the loud speaker on the APC.

From that angle in the OP you can't hear it because of the guys car stereo but he is screaming at the police as he is being detained so he's not being exactly compliant...

The guy should of A: Listened to the police in turning down his stereo and getting across the street like everyone else. B: Rolled up the windows more on his car.

A taser is a bit of a one hitter quitter, If you miss then you have to reload. Pepper spray/mace won't stop the dog for long it will still be wild and even more pissed off... a gun carries more rounds and stops the animal.

i dont see anything wrong with what happened. its illegal to yell and swear in public like that - disorderly conduct. especially when the cops are already serving a high-risk warrant of some kind it seems. what a mope. he tried to show off for an audience, if a 120lb rotweiller starts attacking cops, or anyone with a gun, this is what happens...

I can envision a ton of other outcomes - but the subject forced the issue by failing to comply and failing to properly secure his pet. An 80 Rottie can do immense damage to a human....I don't think it reasonable or part of police job descriptions to get locked on to or shredded up before responding to an aggressive dog.

Well shoot..Since you put it that way...
