the cops didnt shoot right away, they tried to grab the dogs leash. i dont understand how its remotely the cops fault.the owner is solely to blame

He LET them put the cuffs on. And I dont think I saw any aggressive movements.

 

i couldn't tell where the music was coming from, or what if anything he was yelling at the police for (except i could make out something about "civil liberties" or some such thing as he was walking back to his car)... seemed like the vid had a discontinuity in it though, so don't know what happened in between the cut..

 

Seriously? Blame the dude in the cuffs for getting his dog shot? In my opinion a man in fear shot a dog and I don't think that's ok.

he was told to leave multiple times, he chose to stay. he poorly secured his dog. a man shot a dog to defend himself and the safety of others.

 

just because the guys is in cuffs doesn't mean the guys under arrest. stop and frisk ring a bell "terry v. ohio"

Exactly...They got cuffs on him, so taking them of only gives him another chance to change his mind. Not gunna happen.

thats what happens when you should stay out of police business, now hes probably looking at 3-5 years in prison.

 

Yeah....I wasn't there, but the slowly surfacing eyewitness info, the video, and the public statement from the police dept. lays out those assertions.

And I think you are right - Video doesn't tell the whole story.

 

Didn't like pigs before I watched this, don't like em even more now. What a POS. The guy was complying and they could have allowed him to take control of the dog. Everyone hates Mike Vick for fighting dogs...this is just as bad in my opinion. Fuckin pigs think they can do whatever they want because they have a badge.

 

I'm not saying whether or not it was right or wrong. But I'm sure I can speak for many dog owners and say that this was sickening to see, only because of seeing the dog in pain, not because of whether or not the cop should have shot the dog...

 

Go mess with them and give them a reason, or be an American and let them do their job. Choice is yours. Why would you fight the police and win, really dumb idea.
