What are your (talking to everyone here) plans for your Taco?
Doesn't have to be your 30,000 foot view, maybe just your next few upgrade you'd like to make and a timeline when you want it done.

I'll start: Last summer we made a trip to Bend and picked up a Mt.Shasta from CVT that I was going to mount on our 3rd gen. T4R. After much thought we decided that the T4R wasn't the best platform for what we wanted to accomplish (which is 70% expo 30% mild rock crawler). So we bought the Taco.

I ordered a CBI bed rack Friday to mount the tent to when it gets here. Ill get it powder coated to match the truck.

I unfortunately don't have a Tacoma anymore. I had an 11 4 cylinder 4wd 5mt that I put OME 3" lift on, along with several other small things. I had plans to do bumpers and winch as well, then last November, I got hit just behind the rear axle, which was enough of a hit by a full size Chevy, that I was spun around, and rolled. Insurance totaled my truck.
For what I do around the house (10 acres), I needed more pulling capacity than a 4 cylinder engine could offer, and tacomas are spendy trucks, so I went to a Dodge Ram 1500 that was already lifted, but also has the hemi v8. In deep snow on brand new Toyo RT, it doesn't do as well as my Tacoma on AT tires, but it does pull my travel trailer much easier. I still want to place bumpers on the dodge, and add air bags in the rear, possibly get whole new leaf packs.

I have RT tires on now. Not so impressive in deep snow.

I'm running RT's on my 3/4ton Cummins and LOVE THEM on that. Best tire of a full size pickup I've ran

Nothing major from me, only things I have added are new tires and wt floor mats. Hopefully going to price out canopies this year for a leer xr at Freddie's Trading Post. I've been looking for a Silver Sky Metallic LB canopy for the last year on Craigslist with no luck throughout WA, OR, and ID.

Hello everyone, I'm Zak. I'll monitor this thread now that I'm moving to Walla Walla this weekend. Count me in on meet ups. I'm equipped to camp but I'm also up for day trips as well.

I'm moving from NE Kansas. Originally, I'm from the soggy side of WA but I lived in WW for a couple years before I left the state 11 years ago. Always down to camp, and equipped to camp all throughout the year.

Welcome home would ahve been a better term. @Metalhead514 was setting up a run down around that area in April i think. Dayton to Pendelton (or something close to that). Hopefully he will chime in here.

Hey guys, sorry... I have been busy with school and now a job that I will be starting in May (Yay for more taco parts!). The day trip I wanted to setup would start at the bluewood ski area and use the kendall-skyline road to dip into oregon. We would meet pavement and head back up through Milton-Freewater and Walla Walla.

I'm thinking that if we can't get to it in May, then sometime in June would work too. Timing wise, I like to have a large buffer so I would be all for starting just before or right at dawn. I have a super bright CaliRaised 5D bar, so if its still a little dark, it won't matter.

Here is a rough idea of the trails I think we should take, including a stop at jubilee lake!
    https://goo.gl/maps/vF6YRbfveeB2

Something I picked up with another overland group was the use of CB's to keep in contact. I have one installed, does anyone else? I loved being able to talk to others in the group along the way.

    So input from you guys:
    Possible dates/ start times?
Stop at jubilee lake or no? (Might be good for lunch)

Side note: anyone want to get together for a BBQ/ meet and greet? Might be a drive for some, but any of the parks along the river here in the tri cities would do!

I don't have a radio in my Taco, but got one in my T4R3...
Not that I cant install one in the Taco, was thinking about going with a HAM, but I'll have to research it a bit.
As far as input for the run goes, I'm up for whenever. I do have things coming up this May (all summer really) so most the time, I just wing it. If I'm not doing anything I'll make it. Not much for planning this kinda stuff.

We could get together for a meet and greet one weekend

I'm sure you know already, but HAM requires a class and a license. That's why I went CB.

Hey guys, this route looks good and I'm on board for taking a break at Jubilee lake. I prefer starting early too and I'm also equipped with lighting options to brighten up the road if need be. I begin my new job next week in WW and my schedule for the first six weeks is M-F with weekends free. After the six weeks of training, I could be put on an irregular schedule that may require me to work on the weekends. I do have plans memorial day weekend but aside from that, my summer is open for trips and I imagine I'll be exploring WA/OR in my free time, and getting reacquainted with friends and family. Also on board for meeting up beforehand.
