Does anyone have a tri fold tonneau cover like the Undercover Ultra Flex? I'm trying to see if there is anyway to handle the drain tube without drilling a bigger hole in the bed.

Let it drain into the bed and don't park on a decline

IMG_3312.jpg Go to your hardware store. In the plumbing section. Buy some reducers and some hose clamps. Then use the existing holes in the bed of the truck.
Sorry I can't remember the size of the fittings.

I have them on both sides. I know it works because I see puddles on my truck where the water drains out. Bring the hose with you to the store. Sorry I don't know the measurements for the drain hole itself.

I drilled holes into the tops of the wheel well areas, I realize that's not what your asking, but fwiw..

I just put one of those on my truck this past Saturday (BakFlip MX4)! Love it! Thank God for videos, as the included instructions were written for everything BUT the Taco!

IMG_0024.jpg IMG_0025.jpg Don't know if you did this yet but I used a PVC grey hose coupler from HD, forget if it was 1/2" or 3/4', ground down the ribs a little to fit the 5/8 hose that came wit the Bakflip Mx4 and drilled the sides of bed and put some silicone and stuck it in the holes, works great....not in the way! Solid, now just gotta seal the top frame rails, leaks a little under the rubber on bed rail, it's got the design ribs the seal don't sit flat.

I had the under cover ultra flex and I just tucked the drain tubes under the toyota bed mat. That worked for me. I didn't want to drill any holes in the bed

Glad I found this forum. I just bought a 2018 Tacoma full cab with short bed and ordered a BakFlipMX4. My truck came with a rubber bed mat and I couldn't even find the drain holes, let alone know how to attach the Bak drain tubes. Thanks for the ideas.

Mine leaks from the side rails and tailgate corners. Still gotta put the wheather strip under the rails and figure something for the tailgate yet, didn't have time to do it yet.....good cover though I like it.

Did you drill all the way through the bed or just through the plastic. I like your solution so the tubes don’t interfere with loading materials to the back of the bed. Thanks

No problem. I went camping last year and accidentally pulled the plug out. So just watch for that.

Older thread I know. I wanted to thank you for this. I like this location to keep hoses out of the way of gear and draining in the tire wells. I did it today.

I have the Bakflip and drilled holes, but I like the above (holes in the side) better - I went straight down. Still works and is out of the way, but on the side looks neater.

New to Tacoma world and thanks for all the great suggestions. Just purchased ultra flex bed cover for my 2018 TRD offroad Tacoma and was wondering about best place to drill holes!

The size of the tube is 5/8” OUTSIDE DIAMETER X 1/2” INSIDE DIAMETER - I bought a new silicone tube for increased longevity over the plastic corrugated tube — the barbed brass plug reducer that fits inside the drain holes with out drilling the holes bigger is a 5/16” - needs to be hammered in with a rubber mallet but it fits snug once in there
