Is there a trick to getting the back bolts out of the stock 60/40 split seats? Because damn these things are tough, maybe I need to go buy an impact drill or something, these are killing me trying to get them off. Feels like I'd have to spread my effort out over a week to get them out at this pace with how stiff and hard they are to back out. I don't even think I'm that weak either!

Maybe that or some PB Blaster? just looking for experiences

In 1995 I had mine out to install an Amp under the seat and run new wires to 6X9s in the rear side panels and came out clean no effort.
Maybe look underneath for any corrosion issues as well?

they get pretty rusty under the truck. get under there and blast them with a rust penetrant and do the "2 out/1 in" method to remove them so you don't pull the threads out with them.

the way it works is you screw it out 2 turns, then in one turn, until its looser then go 3 turns out or more until it gets tight then start the 2 out 1 in thing again until you work it all the way out.

do this with any tight bolts so you don't strip them or snap off bolts. when they get tight you cant just keep turning or bad things happen.

glad you learned something today then.

many people who may not do mechanic work all day, get into trouble because they don't understand how to clean out rusted threads as they undo bolts.
