I like the look of this lower valence blacked out! I'll be doing this as soon as I get my truck back.

cover up some imperfections... and a few ppl actually ask me if it came that way. So I guess it gave it an "OEM" look.

SWEET! Jonnysrt, I have seen the pick of your truck, and was wondering about that valance piece. I love the look of your front, and may do mine the same. Now I know how to get the valance done!

No sir. The XR piece comes with small hooks that latch on to the lower grille... pretty simple. I also added some 3M velcro behind it just for some insurance.

I'll try to explain... The XR cover goes through the lower grille and 4 hooks latch on behind the grille.

Hope this helps.. kinda confusing, but once you get a piece, You'll know what I'm talking about.

I have A LOT of X-Runner friends.... lol I hang out on XRU and go to meets. I bought mine from a friend at a local get together.

Post in the "Wanted" section of the forum and I'm sure someone will chime in with an offer.

Ok now I get what you're asking... those are little dimples that come out of the cover. The purpose for those is to keep your license plate away from the truck.

I use spacers on my license plate and the dimples help it be level. I would prefer not having a LP, but TX HWY Patrol are D bags.

i think the way to go would be to get the x runner part and maybe just vinyl the bottom half...that way it takes away some of the complications of the wierd angles for the vinyl...wat do u guys think?

    i actually think the oposite.
you will have an easier time applying the vinyl to the top of the valence then the lower portion. the lower pirtion has the dips in it.

If you have the vinyl underneath, couldn't you techinically just slue the xr piece on? that way it will guarantee stay on and if you change your mind, you can just take the whole vinyl piece off.......just wondering......looks great btw.
