Who isn’t concerned with power output? It’s how engines get things done.

I was simply replying to your comment about the 2.7 being hard to break. And it’s hard to break anything when you’ve got no power.

its still an extra 600 - 1000 each that you wouldnt have to spend on a conventional v6/v8.

Im not sure we are on the same planet however because $600 is a ton of money just for the part.

They've gone down quite a bit in the last 2 years then. When I sold parts for Ford they were around $1100 each.

A $600 part to repair a vehicle is pocket change these days.

Different people have different expectations. I'd 100% "risk" it if Toyota offered a turbo 6 in the Taco. The instant TQ is addicting and makes the truck so much more pleasing to drive.

You can turbo charge your truck and can blow the doors of that eco nonsense!, just an example...in 2013 Honda turbo charged a Honda Odyssey (yes, the grocery getter) that has a similar displacement engine 3.5l and went to Pikes Peak !, here are some numbers: 532 Hersepers, and 460 ft-lb torque!...i bet that Odyssey would have destroyed that f-150!

Not out of touch. Just work in the auto repair industry and have since 2004. Wait till you tell a duramax owner his truck need $12,000 worth of injectors. Or a Jaguar/Land Rover owner that their brake job is going to be $3200. Lol.

The 3.5L ecoboost F150's make that with bolt on mods and a tune.

I just assumed we were on the same page since we're talking $40k+ trucks.

Shit, we got beat by two toothless hicks in a beat-up older Ridgeline in my wife's Tacoma, and we run 4.88s and OVTune. The truck just dies above 95 mph. Then again, we didn't buy it because it's fast (but the first words out of my mouth, to my wife, were "we need the OVTune TT set-up").

It’s funny how so many people get butthurt over turbo, and the ecoboost.
Will this trend continue when the New Tundra rolls out with twins?

Maybe I should of asked this on Friday. But fk it. Everyday is Friday in 3rd gen forum on Tacoma World
