Sub’d! I kinda coattailed @Kemosabe over. The truck has turned into a beast. The T4R is looking sexy with them grey wheels. IMHO the oem wheels on the T4R are the nicest wheels to come out on a Toyota. @Lord Helmet has them on a silver Taco and they are pure sexiness! I am glad to see Molly keeping strong & keeping you on your toes! On a final note, I love the flag mod on the house :oldglory:

Did a hitch mounted spare tire mod today stolen from this thread

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hitch-mounted-tire-carrier.495201/#post-16490903

Great solution to get the spare out from under the truck, not take any bed space, and be able to haul with the tailgate down if needed. Eventually I want some sort of tire gate fabricated to my current rear bumper. I’m thinking something that opens from each side and only spans half of the rear end so I could open the tire gate, drop the tailgate, and lock everything in place in case I need to haul with the tailgate open. This will be great until that time comes

The only way it really works is because I'm 5'3", otherwise she would never be able to ride behind the driver. When her seat was rear facing i had to mount it on the passenger side which made the front passenger unless. I usually rode around with the front seat folded like it is in the pic above and my wife rode in the jump seat behind me. The only way to have the seat up was on the forward most setting and straight up, even uncomfortable for my old man who is 5' at best. You could put the car seat on the passenger side and just have the passenger close to the dash, but any which way you do it it is going to be tight. Especially given all the other stuff you have to bring along with the kiddos. Had I know anything about car seats I would have went with a double cab. We can make it work, and I'm to far in to my build to start over now. Adding the T4R to the family really helped with space issues. When the time comes let me know, I've figured out some nice little tips and tricks for mounting different car seats in the access cab.

Someday I hope to get a Tundy with a crew cab to have more space for the fam and to pull the taco behind! :fingerscrossed:

Seriously though, as long as you get a rear facing seat that has a fixed base with removable seat you could mount behind the passenger and if its just the GF and you at least you could put the seat back without removing a seat. Once it is forward facing same thing. The 3 of you probably couldn't fit, but the passenger could be moved forward for the kiddo, and back for a passenger.

Hasn't been noticeable so far. Don’t know that I’d leave it on if I was going to be wheeling hard though.
