Are you still happy with the RDJ's? How are they holding up and would you do it over again or would you go with something else? Thanks.

I’m very happy with the RDJ’s and don’t really have any complaints. No sign of wear and really change the look of the truck. Like I said, if you go with the textured finish it is quite coarse, but after installing and living with them I like it. Definitely would go with them again at almost half the price of bushwhackers.

Some minor work on the Runner today.

It started when I had noticed a rattling noise from the truck during idle. I crawled under and realized that the old t case shield I originally ran and for reasons beyond me did not remove when I installed a full t case skid was rattling against the new plate. I removed the shield which I luckily was able to do without removing the new setup.

I was going to throw the shield up on the Colorado trading post when I realized that the T4R had to have the same T case right?!?

Crawled under and replaced the useless piece of tin that was on there with something better. Can’t hurt at least!

Also was cleaning out the truck with Molly today when she grabbed the mic to the CB and asked “daddy, why don’t we talk on this all the time??” I told her that’s because we only use it when we are wheelin.

Her response... “well than why don’t we go wheelin daddy?!?”

Good point Molly, Good point. Gotta get off the pavement soon.

BTW, Molly had her 4th brain surgery less than a week ago and is ROCKING IT!! That’s as many surgeries as years she has been with us, but she doesn’t let it stop her. Wish I was as tough and brave as her!! I truly have learned a lot from this little girl!

Hey great look on the flares. Quick question, did they completely cover the scuff line left behind by the stock taco flares? Thanks!

There was a small area on the rears that was visible after install, but that went away fairly quickly after a few washes

Went up to Longwater Gultch with my Old Man and his rig the other day. The drive down was almost as fun as the trail even though we had to turn around twice at locked gates. The trail is in an area that was devestated by the Hayman fire in 2002, which offers some good views as the trees don’t block them. Trail isn’t really technical with the exception of a tippy area on a large rock area where you have to make a tight turn on a step drop. It was a nice trail to take Molly on and to see how Jitterbug would like the bumps. Both girls were very well behaved so we will have a lot more adventures in our future, hopefully with Grampy. A few pics. The Wifey was working, so my cameraman wasn’t with me to get the good shots.

So I’m tired of the light bar in the front of the truck and think it’s time to change up the look. Light bars are so 2015 after all....

    39FCF8FD-FF2E-4901-A8CD-C5DFAF909E4D.jpg

I originally wanted to go with an old school KC light like I have always remembered growing up, and I think now is the time.

    98A980A3-4C39-4FE7-90FA-FF516CD2C9E7.jpg

I’ll probably start with a pair of spread pattern in the bumper, and eventually move the spread to the back of the hood by the pillars and spots on the front. Or maybe all at once.

Or to hell with it, maybe I’ll go full Marty Mcfly roll bar lights!
