Out eating lunch and just witnessed awesomeness!

If 8 year old me and current me designed a build this would probably be the result.

I’ve been contemplating picking up a set of SCS wheels a d have been intrigued by these

    542A53B0-1F09-4D0D-8E26-BCFEF62ED5A6.jpg

Not sure if I wanted to commit to bronze instead of the gunmetal, so I decided to derp my stock wheels too see if I liked it.

Probably went 1 coat to many with the copper and are a little brighter than I wanted. I can always redo them. I’m pretty happy with the results, but not sure if I want it to be permanent....

I like the look without center cap. I do like copper also but I also think it can become old. Black, gun metal and silver (chrome for some) are wise choices for durability

I agree. The copper is a cool change, but I don’t think I want to live with it. I think black or gun metal will be the permanent choice.

I’ve been running sans center caps for a while now. The paint from the previous powder coat match has bubbled up and they are pretty rough.

Installed a set of these on the driver’s seat.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fs-aluminum-seat-spacers-for-seat-mod.563339/

The change in the seating angle is noticeably much more comfortable and I’m sure will make a big difference in long drives. Sitting up a bit higher is also a plus for my short ass.

Yes I know I need to vacuum. This is directly below Molly’s seat, so the crumbs are relentless!!!

My wife decided to do the backing into a giant UPS truck mod.......

I think she is secretly trying to start building the runner with a rear plate bumper with tire swing out! :spy:

Well, due to life being what it is I haven’t had much to update this thread with lately. That should be changing soon with some wheelin trips and a mod or two :spy:

However, Trigger did hit the 70,000 milestone today. Or somewhere in that neighborhood I guess with the tire size change. In Toyota years I guess this puts the truck somewhere near the prepubescent stage. Still a lot of miles and memories to go!

Couldn’t be happier with these SCS SR8’s in matte black! The fit is perfect allowing me to eliminate the the spacers. The 285’s seem to fit better on the wider rim as well.

Discount tires installion in the other hand....

They managed to damage 3 of the 4 center caps. They will be footing the bill for it. So annoying :annoyed:

Well, my wife has a way with running into inanimate objects with all of her vehicles. Here is what today had to offer.....

    054A0699-BA9D-46DD-8F59-8315637F2154.jpg 5E1ED404-C1FD-4C9D-AA54-69E5A2A1C1C0.jpg E058FE40-940F-4040-985C-11675F60A6B0.jpg 7226E298-DE98-4759-8D99-6658410703D2.jpg

The way the pole was angled there was no way to drive it off without causing major damage, so I ended up jacking it up and bending the post back with the winch on the truck. Worked pretty well.

    688F0CE3-820E-4DDA-993E-07363FD0A382.jpg 280474D6-FBDB-4C22-BB95-50DAA79AEF41.jpg

In her defense someone had backed into the post bending it at a funny angle. Still, quite a bit a damage. Both doors will have to be replaced, rear bumper and flare. Doesn’t seem to have caused any structural body damage or driveline issues at least.

Edit: if anyone knows a good shop around Denver, I’m gonna need one

Decided to put the KC Cyclones on the back of the toolbox to light up the bed at night. Had a switch laying around that I put in the side of the box for easy access. I see more of these little lights in my future.

A few lighting projects. I hated the LED fogs I had on truck, so swapped them out for a set of these:

    https://www.amazon.com/Optilux-H710...ving+Lamp+Kit&qid=1560898529&s=gateway&sr=8-1

Basic setup, but it fits the space nicely and gets the job done.

Next up was improving my off-road light setup. While the old school KC Apollo’s look cool, they don’t put out a whole heck of a lot of light. Might look into some sort of HID conversion eventually. I saw a first gen flexlight setup that @Taylor@KC HiLiTES put together over on the KC garage sale thread and decided to try it out.

    64D1EE7C-ED77-4718-8973-B9E045B05C0A.jpg 715B8C64-F8B7-4822-9A9A-2A16004C5116.jpg

Very happy and impressed with these. Will definitely be investing in some additional spread flex lights either up on the bumper or with some ditch light brackets up on the hood.

    With the KC flex lights

If you haven’t seen the KC garage sale thread it has some sweet deals

And of course As always Molly lended a hand
