Nice! I have had mine a little more than a year and they started rusting, so i took em off and repainted them black. I used header paint but they still cooked some so now they look kinda grey. definitely one of my favorite mods for this truck though!

I’m potentially in the market for one of these. Could you describe to me the performance upgrade? Where and when do you feel it the most, and does it improve highway cruising? Thanks in advance.

An equal length header for our setup is an upgrade due to the firing order of the cylinders. The exhaust pulses will no longer be fighting each other to get out of the header since they are equal length tubes. This translates into more low end tq and more high end hp. Its noticeable when cruising around slow and also on the hwy. the truck doesnt struggle anymore to get up to and maintain speed. Hope this helps some! Its a solid upgrade

Thank you. One more question that calls for speculation: why doesnt the factory address this from the get go given all the negative feedback on the lack of power on the highway, especially with the 6 speed tranny ecu’s bugging out and gear hunting at 70mph and above?

In my short experience I would second this. Going up a steep incline is the most noticeable difference. The engine does not struggle and bog down as much. Definitely faster pickup especially at low speeds. Butt dyno results show a noticeable difference

5.29 gears went in today. Just drove it about 30 minutes home but can definitely fell the difference. Excited to get them broke in and hit the trail to see how they do.

Great experience with Altitude Offroad in Castle Rock. Great bunch of guys and will change out the diff fluid after 500 miles.

Molly helped install a spacer lift on the Runner last weekend. Will work perfectly fine for the pavement princess and allowed us to throw some 33’s on.

new shoes for the Taco as well. Back to Duratracs. The coopers where great, but the weight was a lot for the 4 banger, and can’t beat the duratracs in the snow

Definitely don’t frequent this site or update the build thread much anymore, but did throw on a roof rack a while back. Decided to move the lighting and spare up top. 9AC6B81F-56C7-48E8-A6B5-D383187D7618.jpgDB151D85-7FB3-4B4A-9940-250E70987CFC.jpg

Obligatory “been a while since I posted, did stuff to truck so here is a post about it” post.

front end needed some work, so swapped in new Old Man Emu 886’s, Rough country UCAs and CV axle. Axle was fine, but the boot I had on it was to big and rubbed the LCA at times, so swapped it with the backup so I can put an appropriate boot on it and have it to swap the next time a boot tears. Man they seem to rip a lot, even with the CVJ axles. Ohh well, nice to always have spare on hand.

Also swapped out the headlights a while back. Old ones were cracked and faded, so threw some Alpha Rex’s on.

ABS light and traction light are on. Assuming it’s due to the new UCAs and the alignment out of whack. Getting it aligned in the morning so hopefully that will fix it and I didn’t fuck up a sensor or something
