So here while back I decided to start a build thread to keep track of the progress of my truck. Nothing to crazy here, pretty standard as TW builds go, but it's always nice to see some built 4 bangers out there. So here we go...

    As it sits today

The day I bought the Truck back in September of 2011. I needed a new vehicle, but was budget conscious, so I test drove a manual single cab. After the wife pointed out that she couldn't drive a stick, and that we may need room for a car seat someday I drove off in this auto, base model access cab. (If I had known than what I know now about car seats I would have went with a double cab.)

    image.jpg

I figured I would do some mild mods and a lift someday, but just drive her around stock for a while. Than I went to Rock Therapy and won a set of front and rear Bilstein 5100's! A big thanks to Down South Motorsports who donated the shocks for the raffle and all of those that put on Rock Therapy!

So I paired my new found gift with some Eibach coils and a Toytec AAL and now the little taco was lifted.

    image.jpg

When Jace rounded the corner and I saw my truck lifted... Something forever changed inside me, and I was hooked!

    image.jpg

So I slowly added bigger tires, armor and so on. Mods aren't as piling up as quickly these days with the addition of this, the love of my life:

    image.jpg

This is my daughter Molly, she has Hydrocephelous, and she is the strongest, most courageous person I have ever known.

Mods usually go more like this now:

Had the truck out a few times, but not nearly enough. A few trips:

Decided it was the thing to do once I got the big boy bumper. Wish I would have started it from to beginning and tracked the process.

Nice truck man. I had never heard of hydrocelaphus before, so I looked it up. What a brave and tough lady you've got there! Keep you all in my thoughts.

Thanks! I really haven't noticed much of a change with the bumper. The ride is actually better with the billies and eibachs, it was pretty stiff before. It was already pretty slow before with the lift, larger tires, and armor, so any change in acceleration has been negligible. Would probably be even less with a manual, the auto gets bogged down pretty easily. I have noticed it when I have to step on the brakes. A brake upgrade might be a little higher in my list now.
