No it looks really good. Can't wait for the finished product. So far I've paid $200. But I still have the steering wheel trim pieces, shift trim, and rear door panel trim. So I'm guessing another ~$120 to finish up. He's color matching Toyota 040 (Super White) and using 3 coats of clear with a lifetime warranty on paint.

lol.. that is probably more coats than the exterior has ... :) The lifetime warranty is excellent... especially since all the pieces can be removed fairly easy.

OK, so for anyone interested, I'd like to share my findings on how to remove the center console trim and steering wheel trim. First I'd like to credit @gpb and @SgtAJV for their help.

FIRST, IT IS ALWAYS RECOMMENDED TO DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF THE BATTERY

    Center Console:
Unfortunately the trim piece does NOT just pop off like the center dash trim. You have to remove the whole upper assembly. First you have to remove the shift know and then the assembly is just held down with plastic tabs so I started by the qi wireless charging pad and used a trim tool to pry it straight up. I then worked my way back. Make sure the arm rest is unlatched and in the open position.
    20170122_134142.jpg

On the passenger side next to the gear shift, there is some wiring that needs to be unclipped.
    20170122_134249.jpg

The gear shift boot just slides off the chrome gear stick but the parking brake doesn't, I just inverted the boot to give me the most amount of play.
    20170122_134323.jpg

On the under side of the assembly, there are 6 screws (circled) and 4 tabs (arrows) that hold the trim piece in place. Undo these and the trim piece comes right off.
    20170122_134347_Ink_LI.jpg
    20170122_141701.jpg

    Steering Wheel:
On either side of the steering wheel, there are 2 access caps. These just pop off and inside each side is a single T30 torx screw. Undo these. Don't worry they don't fall out, they are held in even when unscrewed all the way.
    20170122_141324.jpg

Now the steering wheel cover/airbag assembly lift right out. There are 2 screws that hold each control assembly to the steering wheel. These need to be undone.
    20170122_141217_Ink_LI.jpg

Once lifted out, there are 3 screws that hold the trim to the control assembly. Undo these but be careful because the assembly falls apart very easily and there are some plastic spacers that act as extensions for the buttons to hit the circuit board. Be careful not to lose any of these.
    20170122_141739_Ink_LI.jpg

That's all I've got, If you have any questions about these or any other pieces let me know. Pictures of the finished product to come soon

TBH I'm not a huge fan of carbon fiber, I think it looks a little gawdy. BBP would look super clean. I would recommend thinking about it long and hard before painting. Its a permanent modification. I would do a little bit at a time to see how you like it. I also wouldn't do too much. A little bit goes a long way. Even mine is borderline too much. My painter started suggesting other pieces to paint and I told him to shut up because I think anymore and it would look overdone

I'll second Vanga's comment about the carbon fiber look. If it's the real deal I think it's not too bad (a bit early 2000's though) but the print just seems kinda tacky. But as always, it's really whatever does it for you!
