Here's the deal. I just ordered a 2013 Double Cab, and I want to put on a 3" lift, tires, and wheels. After doing some research, I've decided on an OME lift kit. I am also planning on running 285/70R17 BFG T/A KOs on Black Rhino Sidewinder 17x9 wheels.

    I've got two main questions:

    1) What kind of "trimming" would be required for such a set-up, and what does the "trimming" entail? Would there be cutting and welding I would need to do? Would there be holes in the wheel wells from the trimming? Pictures would be helpful.

    2) Should I get the wheels with a -12 or +12 offset? Would either one reduce the trimming I would need to do? Are there advantages or disadvantages to either?

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    welcome to tw sir

trimming is the easiest part of doing your lift. all you have to do is remove the front mudflaps and cut off the lower part of the plastic in the front of the front wheel wells.

if you plan on offroading tho, youll need to do the cab mount chop, which is the cuting and welding part. I skipped that tho and im fine on-road.

    I dont know about offsets.

Of those 2 options you'll need to get the +12 offset. Trimming is not bad and is easy as mention by Tru.
