its up to you which tires you go with

you should be able to fit the 285/75s BUT you will probably have to do some minor trimming of plastic liner...and you MAY have to hammer down the pinch weld at the back of the fenderwell

the trimming you'll have to do wont be noticeable...itll all pretty much be the black plastic fender liner...and the hammering of the pinch weld will be unnoticed too

hold on i think i have a pic of when i did mine

    its not hard

i did it without even removing the tire...

just trim the plastic and then use something to bend the pinch weld back so that it sits flat or almost flat...spray paint black

okay im gonna be bringing this tread back from the dead here but i gota ask these questions and its easier than making a new thread.

i too will be ordering 285/70/16 which is a 33/11/16 so i know some trimming will be needed. as far as wheels go they aer stock steelies. the plain jane grey wheels. so will i probably need to order some wheel spacers to go with them in order to clear the UCA's? if so how think should i get? 1",2"? also are there any certain mfg's that anyone is partial too that makes a quality product. i dont want to skimp there and get something that will crack. its kind of important that my wheel doesnt some off.

i dont know how thick you need...but Spidertrax seems to be the most recommended brand...

I put Spider Trax on my truck, with the stock aluminum wheels. I'm running 285's and only had to trim a little bit of plastic from the rear of the fender liner. My front bumper doesn't really matter, since it will clear just about any tire made.

It's a one-off made by Avid Offroad. I work with the guy, and he's gonna eventually get in to 1st gen Tacoma bumpers, and stuff. Here's a better pic of it.

how wide are they? whats the size? im postitive that ill be able to get them in there and i know ill have to trim in some places. the only thing im worried about is hitting the UCA's.

oh and i LOVE that front bumper! it needs a little some thing on the front. some plate or something to hide the crossmember a little! i would totally buy one from him if the price is right

Here's how clearance I have with the spacer. Wheels will eliminate the need for the spacer.

right i knew i could just go buy some cheap steelies to solve that but i wouldnt really be achieveing much, so spacers seems like a better alternative.

well see if he would like to build up another bumper and what it would cost. like i said i really like the look of that bumper vs. the others out.

Go to www.avidoffroad.com and email Brandon. Tell him you want Kevins bumper, and that I sent you. He'll set you up with what you want.
