Hey Colorado folks, I’m traveling from Denver to Bryce Canyon in a few days and with Imogene being snowed in I’m at a loss after months of planning a Florida to California trip. The plan was for some epic overlanding and camping, connecting from Ouray to Tellurude which is obviously out.

Any suggestions for worthwhile trails? The truck is a fully built TRD off-road although I need to keep it in one piece for this long road trip, so no hardcore trails. Just looking for scenery, elevation, and public land camping.

Last Dollar Road should be open between Ridgeway and Telluride. Not hard core at all, but scenic, and Telluride is a good stop.

Don't sweat it man. Ton of options. One is Ophir pass which is open. Lotta snow up there still but gorgeous and connects Silverton with the town of Ophir just south of Telluride. Last Dollar is also pretty (where Tarantino's Hateful 8 was filmed). Bolam connects Purgatory to Rico with a ton of camping available (more than Imogene). Just get a good map and check the San Juan county facebook page to stay current on closures.
