Hey, my dad just called and said my step mom called saying the truck was beeping three time (then repeat) while driving. He hasn't been able to reproduce it, and I've never heard of it either... search failed me too. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure his truck doesn't, it was my first thought too

    Lots.

First time for everything... unhook the battery for a few minutes and see if it will happen again.

Yea, she always wears her seat belt.

I called again and found this sequence of events:

    Unlocked door with remote.
    Entered truck
    closed door
    Used on door lock button
    Started engine.

Once the engine started, the beeps started and the DAC light was flashing non stop until she got home and parked the truck. When my dad got back in... it didn't do the beeps.

Correct me if I'm wrong but auto's don't have DAC right?

Truck: 2005 Tacoma TRD Off-Road (4x4), auto, mostly stock. No aftermarket alarm.

Possibly unrelated but my dad said when he tried to put it in 4-Lo (from a dead stop), "lights were flashing and beeps were going off." (I presume pizzo not horn). Is this normal until it engages 4-lo, or could there be some electrical glitch going on?

Thanks for the replies and help so far!

If 4 lo isn't fully engaged it beeps until it engages. That much I know. No clue what the other beeping was:confused:

Hmmm, I dunno, I have never noticed any beeping or flashing other than trying to engage 4lo
