Montreal to New York, NY. About 800 Miles round trip, 6 hours one way. Handle great thru the adirondacks but only averaged about 18MPG!!!

How much does having a 4X4 long bed DC affect my MPG??

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
I've personally driven to Houston and back in one night for a wedding.

Not sure what else it had seen before that; it was only three years old with 56k miles, so probably a few trips.

I much enjoyed the trip to Houston in my Tacoma than with the Mazda 3.

Don't have the 2nd gen yet but my 2000 taco 4x4 ex cab has been from Columbus,Ga to Portland, OR down I-5 to Lake Tahoe to Reno to the top of the U.S. comming back across back down to Columbus, Ga round trip 6500 miles. Was amazed in Oregon when I had the oil changed and use to the 29 min thing. I asked what was taking so long and they said they were washing the truck. I said did you get it dirty or something? They said no, that's part of your oil change. I said Damn!!! Told home dealer about that and they just looked at me. lol! The taco has seen all coasts of the U.S. including mile marker zero. Can't wait to get a new one and start again! It's been a awesome 153,000 miles so far and counting!!!

Just after I bought it in 2005. Went to the 2005 US Open golf Tournament in Pinehurst,NC. I had free all access passes for the tourney. Plus the USGA hospitality tent. Breakfast, Lunch, & dinner, open bar all free of charge! :D:bananadance: What an awesome time that was!

I was planning on going to the 2008 Open in San Diego this summer. But the week of the trip I ended up in the hospital with blood clots in my leg. That Sucked ass! :(:frusty: Missed out on one of the best US Opens. Maybe next time it is on the west coast, 2010.

Wow! 6500 mile trip. Did the dealer have an automated car wash?

The Toyota dealer in Brusnwick,GA just built a new dealership & they have an automated wash. Every vehicle they service gets the wash free. That would be a nice service to have at a local dealer.

I still have my laminated passes. Oh well, hopefully next time. I think Pebble beach is the next one on the west coast.

I have taken my Taco around a lot of Alaska. The most recent trip was up to Fairbanks from Anchorage. It's only about 375 miles but when there is snow on the road it can seem a lot longer. I can't wait til I can get back to the lower states and take it on some road trips.

Ok well maybe not long journeys, but they add up -_-. 15,000 miles only 10 months old. MPG was about 17-20. not bad considering 75-90mph. Cruise control is a life saver!

the only trip of any length that i do is from college to home every so often. its about 230 miles one way. i really want to do a long road trip but fuel costs, school, and work have kept me from doing one. now with gas prices coming down maybe i can plan one! the one i wanted to do was home in southern OR into E. Washington, into N. idaho, into MT, then through colorado into utah(gotta see moab), across nevada, maybe arizona (grand canyon?) and then down into so cal and all the way up 101 back to oregon. it'd be one helluva trip!

Just drove my '09 SR5, 4 cyl., from Central Florida to Washington, DC and back. 1,100 miles each way; only had 1,000 on ODO when I left. Great ride and rode at 80 - 85 mph the entire way; got 23-24 mpg. 15 hours each way. Truck was perfect.

Nope they washed it by hand! Said they would have vacuumed it out too but OSHA wouldn't let them have a vac in the area where they wash the vehicles.
