    Hello,

Am I the only one who'd having a hard time finding a TRD Off-Road Long Bed? I'd like to haul a small truck camper and the 6' bed doesn't seem to be in the current production runs or they're pre-sold.

    Any thoughts?

    Bill

It accounts for only 4% of Tacomas produced and highly desirable, so its a bit of a unicorn. Good luck with your search.

What part of the country are you located. You may have to order in another state I know when I first started looking when the 2016 came out I gave the salesman every option I wanted and he said no problem. When I said I wanted it in the long bed configuration he told me now we have a problem. That is a unicorn truck. At that point I just gave up on a 2016 I waited for dealers to get their allocation of 2017 and the timing could not have been better. I met with my dealer and gave him every option I wanted and he placed the order on July 7th. The truck came in on August 22nd Also I would suggest that you find a dealer who sells large volumes of tacomas They have the inventory to trade with other dealerships. Good luck

Thanks! 4% means I should probably consider ordering one and waiting 3-4 months.....

I'm in Maryland but have searched using AutoTrader nationwide, no joy. Your truck seems to have come through pretty quickly. I'll give ordering a try.

You have an access cab not a long bed. OP is looking for DCLB.

Where does it say that? An AC is by default an LB.

I know where there is a 2016 Sand off road with a four inch lift and a little over 4,000 miles ....

I was going to buy it but it won't fit in the garage as it is a little too long!!

Here are a couple of pics

I think they had it @ $34K it was still there as of today @ 4 pm

Yes you're correct I have an AC with a long bed which is the only size bed for that cab. It is also the same size bed that you can get with a double cab. I didn't see where the OP noted he wanted a DCLB.

Well generally its referred to as access cab, not access cab long bed or long bed because it only comes in one size. The 3rd gen guys have been confusing it, but thats part of how toyota labels it in the build thing, new to forum, what have you, etc. Most people in the forum will refer to their truck as a Double Cab Short Bed (DCSB), Double Cab Long Bed (DCLB) or Access cab (AC). Access cabs aren't hard to find so I'm guessing OP was looking for a DCLB off road.

I live in Maryland to. I ordered mine through Passport Toyota. I spoke with several MD dealers and tried the Costco program. That is when Passport contacted me and had me come in to place an order. I think I really lucked out because they were in the process of offering their first allocations of 2017. I also think I got a pretty good deal from them. If you are interested in the name of the sales guy please let me know. Good luck

My bed is 6'2" and looks like it belongs on the truck. Parked beside my neighbours 16 DCSB, I can see why they don't make many DCLB's as his short box truck is a good foot longer than mine. Put a 6' box on a DC and that is going to be one long extended out of proportion lookin truck.

AC and DCSB are both 212.3" per the Toyota brochure. Maybe your neighbor has a DCLB at 225.5".
