Yup, exact model as mine. disconnet your phone audio and contact sharing in the bluetooth settings for the S3 and I bet you will be sync'd immediately. I still get notifications on my watch for text messages, phone calls and notifications with them disabled. I just can't make phone calls FROM my watch or see my contacts. But I don't do that anyways.

Also to note, I went over a month with no issues (got my Taco in April). I started having issues with more than one device connected after the most recent Android update

I can still have my S3 connected, I just had to adjust the BT settings to not have contact sharing or phone audio.

I've got a few other posts on this. It'd definitely an Android BT issue. What I've found is if I make a lot of quick stops the issue comes up and the car won't reconnect to BT. It's like the phone decides to time out on connecting from all the connect/disconnects. Best solutions are rebooting phone, toggling Bluetooth, or getting an app that toggles BT on when you drive.

Recent updates to Entune and/or Android seem to have resolved my BT connection and playback issues (!) So far no non-connecting to the truck, and finally Entune doesn't reset every song to the beginning when I restart the truck.

Not sure how relevant this is but had major issues with connectivity when I was putting the phone in airplane mode or turning off wifi and/or bluetooth in the evening. Since I stopped doing that 99.9% of the connection problems stopped. Moto G4. Only rarely (like once in the last 3 months) will it ever not connect automatically now.

@TBV I didn't know you could get updates over the air? I don't think this works in Canada atleast that I'm aware. I'll ask next time I go in for warranty issues/service.

i have the exact same problem. i think for me it's phone specific because it never happened when i had the 6p. i switched to the pixel xl whenever it came out. i frequently lose the music metadata and controls. i also frequently have to toggle bluetooth on the phone to get it to connect. a friend of mine has the same phone and the same issue in a mazda. it's sorta like the bluetooth driver is crashing. maybe they'll fix it in android O.

Make sure both Android and Entune have the latest updates. That combo did the trick for me.

Dang. Dunno if it helps but I had to manually check for the latest Pixel update. For some reason the phone didn't notify me when it arrived.

Didn't mean to bring this thread back up but my 17' always has problems connecting. Constantly having to turn off/on my bluetooth on my Pixel 2. Had the same issues with my Pixel and 5x. Never downloaded the Etune app. That fixing most of the issues for y'all?

Download Entune and it should update the truck software for you. That may fix the problem. Seemed to for me.
