Use one of the pullers like above. I get as much tension on it as I can then I whack the control arm. Between the tension and shock it should only take a couple of whacks.

Don't be a Sally hit the damn thing!
seriously try soaking with Pen Oil put nut on until flush with top of bolt try and make a arm as solid as you can and hit a few times then come from underneath and hit as if osamas face was there.
If you use a fork chances are high that damage will occur but I would use one of these, If you don't have one borrow one from an auto parts store just need to give credit card for security.

To conclude this thread I would like to say thanks
to the members that left their advice.

I ended up removing the balljoint with a pickle
fork, this worked very well but as advised it ruined
the boot/balljoint. This was not a problem because
    the balljoint is relatively inexpensive.

Hope this thread will be of some use to people
who are having the same issue.

    Thanks for the help.
    Charlie.

New ball joints are cheap, but getting them pressed out/in is a pain in the ass. Haha

Removed mine with puller 3 piece . Used mallet and hit a arm. Left nut loose on top dropped loose ball joints tie rods are built so they pop loose my dad's a retired mechanic that'd how he always did it. It took some heavy hitting g but it works . I took my knuckle down to machine shop to have wheel bearings and seals replaced. Cost 75 bucks ks overall with bearing seals cv axles upper balljoints cost around 650 . Shop quoted me 1200 to do one side I did both for 1/4 of the price would of done a writeup with pictures but dont have the time been down for a month being able to pay for it all . I do all my own work except internal engine work. I don't trust myself in that field.
