Trouble starting 2017 Tacoma

Hey Everyone,
I bought a 2017 Tacoma this spring and it's an awesome ride. This morning it was 26 degrees and it remote started fine, then I hop in to drive to work and the wheel is locked and it won't start. Said check charging system & engine light was on. It tool disconnecting the battery for 2 minutes and reefing on the wheel to get it started. Now I'm paranoid....

I had an issue with a packrat in the engine compartment this fall but have since repaired the damage and seen zero sign on them. I'll take a closer look when it warms up....brrr.

Sometimes the steering wheel lock is a pain. You need to wiggle jiggle the wheel lightly while turning the...Wait! Do you have a key or a fob?

 

It's got a push button ignition and a fob to remote start it.
