Hi guys, I'm new here, and i'm reaching out to the wise guys here for some help.
I own a 06 tacoma, and and lately i have some issues with it. I don't know were to start looking for remedies.
The car was running perfectly fine, with no issues whatsoever.
I did some work fixing my after market in dash GPS radio yesterday.
In order to have proper access to it I removed the plastic frame around it with the hazard switch and also the fan controls assembly. Disconnected the connectors and worked for a while to assemble my radio.
After I finished I put everything together, but my car will not keep running anymore.
Will start for a second and die.
One hour before that was running perfectly fine.
I checked the alarm deterrent light on the assembly I removed while working on the radio. It is blinking but when I will insert the key in the switch the light will turn off.
I'm assuming is something related to the alarm system what shuts off my engine.
Any thoughts? I checked for more info on this but I could not find a lot.

Is hard to believe is a coincidence and the fuel pump or something else broke.
Are there any fuses I should check, or relays?
At this time the truck is stranded on the street. I will have to tow it to a dealer for diagnostic.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Reserected from the dead.
Start symple. Disconnect neg battery cable for a couple minutes.

It does sound like an imobilizer problem. Can you try a different key?

Thank you for your suggestion . I'm going to try that.
I also tried to use the other key I have. No change, exactly the same as using the original key.
I will disconnect the battery for a few minutes and go from there.

Disconnected the battery neg for 15 min. Connected back, the same issue. The engine will start but die right away. Pressing the gas is not helping.
If I'll try to start it again right way will crank but not fire. If I wait a couple min will fire again for one sec.
Lost here. Any thoughts? How to reset or bypass the imobilizer?
Need to troubleshoot and check one thing at the time.
If by mistake I made a short during the radio install what fuse should I check?
I checked the fuses from under the steering wheel. Everything looks good.
I don't know how to actually check the relays.

as much as you may not want to you can disconnect the new radio setup, cap the wire to ensure no grounding, and see if that remedies the issue. try a few starts to be sure.

    its somewhere in there

Yep, I did think about that too. That was my first check. I took everything apart again and even disconnected the harnesses completely. Still the engine will get shutoff.
Running out of options. Anybody else experienced something similar?
Is there a way to reset this whole system?

Hmm, that's weird. Did you check the fuses in the engine bay? What about any codes?

More checking last night, got a OBD tester and checked for codes. No codes are recorded.
I'm assuming that something happened to the communication in between the alarm system and the rest. The key chip is being recognized I see the light stop blinking when the key is inserted in the contact, but somehow something is happening after that.
    Messy...
    Any ideas?

I have no answers for you my friend, but this is why I hate the engine immobilizer systems. I am very glad my 2.7L 4 banger doesn't have it.

Most likely the fuel pump. It seems like most of the time that is the problem for 2nd gen with no start condition.
