Hello gents, I had for the first time, a stuttering start this morning (its about 10 degrees temperature in the garage). When push starting, I could hear the struggles of clicking for about 3 seconds. This scared me a bit. So I pressed the button to stop. I waited a few seconds, then push started again. Another 2-3 seconds of clicking/non-ignition. Then it ignited but at super lower rpm (below 5000) to which then I feathered the throttle so it wouldn't die. Idled at about 6/7k. I proceeded to drive and survived. The truck is at about 53k miles. I don't think I had any interior lights on.

Anyone have experience with this? I haven't had time to check if it's the battery, alternator or other.

Edit: It's been 3 hours since I first started and drove the car to work. I started it again without any issue this time. Perfect.

Maybe time for spark plug change and battery if it’s still OEM

Classic signs of a bad battery. The clicking is the starter solenoid engaging but the battery not having enough amps to actually turn the starter motor. So the solenoid is shot back by its spring and starts the process over.
