Hey TW folks, ill make this as quick and simple as I can.

My side view mirror got smashed up, so during the process to replace it (which I have done successfully before, this is the second time I've replaced my passenger side view mirror) I dropped my door panel and it basically destroyed my window up down switch. I did order and install a new one, but it didn't work. So I ordered another (thinking I had a faulty switch) but that one didn't work either. I know my window motor is fine because the window operates from the drivers side just fine.
I'm just looking for ideas on maybe what could be the problem. I feel like it's an electrical issue, but how? Its a brand new switch....so if anyone has any input I'd greatly appreciate it.
The first switch I installed, which was a factory replacement, didn't even allow for the drivers side to operate the window. So I put the OLD, BROKEN switch back in, and the drivers side was able to operate the window....so I'm genuinely confused at this point.

Key notes: drivers side can operate passenger side window, passenger cannot operate its own window. The switch is new and a factory replacement.
I need someone smarter to help me lol
    Thanks!

Did you check the window lockout switch on drivers side, to see if you accidentally pushed it?

Lol, dude, I will try to take this as NOT an insult, but no. The switch is most definitely not locked out. It doesn't function at all from the passenger side.

No insult intended. Just checking, some have done it accidentally.

I haven't had to troubleshoot that particular issue, but as you said you dropped the door panel, I would have to believe that in dropping the panel you knocked a wire loose or have a loose connection. Since you've bought and installed a new switch, it can't be the switch. Did you damage the connector to the switch?

I did drop the door panel and it sorta ripped the switch out from its little home. The wiring harness doesn't appear to be damaged but thats gotta be the problem, right? How would I even know that tho?

You'll have to do a visual inspection, make sure all the wires are correctly in place, and than you can check the function with a multimeter.

Guilty, I do it all the time, locking all the windows because I have accidentally opened a back window without realizing it before going through the car wash till I felt a wave coming in the window behind me lol.

    Yeah.
And the metal edges on the door panels can be sharp, so make sure a wire didn't get cut where they come through. Basically just trace it all the way back from the connector and make sure the wire is fine and that it is still connected on the other end.
