If I get ambitious, I'm going to try full retro and retain the stock mounting points of the fog lights if I can. I've got one thats leaking so I want to tear it apart and see if there's enough there to mount a projector to.

What did you mount on your R1? Did you go with Morimotos or FX-R's?

 

i say go for it, your fogs that is...

my R1s are stock projectors... i dont think FX-r would fit in there... only other option is minis. but i need to do some research on the forums to see if anyone has done it..

stupid question, but those already with FXR's a mounting question for yah

does the bi-xenon solenoid get mounted up or down....

i know its stupid, but with the angel eyes if its down, you can make the line up so the gap is at the bottom, if not the gap will be slightly off center

so when you look inside the projector does the metal bar go on the top or bottom side

solenoid is down.

i can confirm later in the week when i actually have them in front of me.

but the retros ive done, the solenoid is towards the bottom of the reflector bowl

What is the major difference between:

Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III kit (D2S) and the FX-R stage III kit?

Is there a preferred shroud?

 

Group buy wont apply to the blazer fogs. Headlight kits only

 

FX-R's are OEM projectors and will require more work to install

Morimoto Mini's are designed for retrofitting and are pretty much plug and play

 

Shroud is up to you! For a tacoma, using the d2s will be easier!

 

There are also the mini H1's, they come with an H4 adapter plate so they should be just as easy and they have slightly better output.

 

Which mini set would be best for an 04?

 

I have too many questions.

With the Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (D2S):
Is it overkill to upgrade to the Denso Slim 35w ballast and the Phillips 85122+D2S bulbs?

I will probably order the Gatling gun shroud.

Is the wiring harness the H4 Relay?
