Will do. It is an easy mod from what I have seen in other threads. The only reason I'm doing it is because both my H3 Hyper white bulbs died. I decided rather than spend $50 on 2 new bulbs, I could spend it upgrading to HID. I hope that the reflector is up to the task.

Unfortunately, my stock 510 SMR bulbs died before I could take a calibrated night shot to do a before and after shot.

Does anyone know if the re-sealing glue from the drop down box is the same as the OCI butyl rubber glue in their accessories section?

Can the OP please verify if we NEED to get a stage III kit to qualify and if the other stuff in our cart will also qualify?

Right.. and if I add extra ballasts and bulbs, does that qualify for the discount?

I have been reading a lot on the HID retrofit.

The actual projector comparison of the Mini and the FX-R is very informative. It seems that the FX-R will project the light further down the road than the Mini. The Mini is an easier install. The cost of the FX-R stage 4 is only $25 more than the Mini with the same ballast and bulbs. At this point I am tempted to go the FX-R stage 4 kit and just dive into the project. One of the saving graces for me is that I have a donor set of headlamp housings that I will be modifying.

There should not be a problem if I change to the FX-R stage 4 correct?

    In a nutshell:
-Mini is simple and easier to install indeed. Bake, separate, install, bake, seal.
-FX-R will need some 'customization'. bake, separate, modify bowl, temp mount fx-r, aim, permantenly mount/install, bake, seal.

On screen it looks just like a few extra steps. When actually doing the FX-Rs, its alot of trial and test trial and test. Once you have the knowledge it would be a bit smoother. If you do decide to dive into the project and tackle it yourself, I'm more than willing to give you pointers and what not. I'm sure others here would be willing to chime in and give some advice/pointers too.

Good to have a donor set. My advice, work on 1 headligh first then start the other. Remember to take your time (benefits of having a donor set) :)

Shouldn't be a problem because I'm pretty sure payment has not been processed. They won't process until 25 orders are set

    Shrouds are your personal preference.

I plan on installing the halo ring inside the Gatling shroud. The pics look pretty decent and you do not have that BMW ring look. The light comes out the vents of the shroud.

Nice. A former coworker, I am now retired, has an accord. I doubt she would be up for a conversion. They are nice dependable cars.
