    So I am looking at

TRS FX-R Stage III kit. Completely confused by all the size/bulb/ballast/relay options. Says the kit is universal.

Do i have to crack open the headlight? Does anyone have photos of this kit on a '12-'14 Taco?

Is there any other comparable kit i should look at? I see some other kits that are cheaper, but i much prefer better quality over saving $100.

You might be in over your head a bit. Installing these the right way takes time and patience. Yes you have to crack open your headlights and drill in to the housings to make the projectors fit, you also have to aim the properly. You might be better off buying a set from a memeber on here. There are a few sets for sale in the BST.
