I went through a puddle a week ago probably going 20-25 and it completely shut off my truck ever since its been low on power and it backfires randomly and it won't stop until I get it revved up to a high rpm it is an auto so I don't know if that would help and no check Engine lights have came on and sometimes when I'm parked it has a horrible idle like its got some hot rod cams in it, and the motor is pretty new.

The plugs have about 1000miles on it and the filter is clean but it’s an Orileys filter plus I just put new fuel filter in it

Mobil1 beanie should arrive any day now...
How deep was your truck submerged, and for how long?

Please don't tell us that your dad is a Toyota Master Tech. Please.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    What engine ??

Something Got wet and has not dried yet.

Might also be the MAF is not coated in dirt sending a real strange signal to the ECM

Pray tell just how deep was this puddle ??

Pull the spark plugs no telling just what cold water did to hot plugs.

Be careful they might come out in pieces .

It could have been worse you might have had to swim.

Might want to have a look inside your distributor cap.

I never remember what was the last year for distributor on the 4 Cylinder .

That would be the first thing to check like back in the old days!

It’s a 3.4 and it was less than 10 inches deep,
