You need a T55 socket (which I'm sure you knew) and a breaker bar. Get the 1/2 in drive socket. If you're still having trouble, get a can of penetrating oil such as PB Blaster, and soak the bolts, making sure that it can get down to the threads. Try to find where the bolts come down into the frame from the bed and spray them from the bottom as well. hit them every 15-20 minutes until a solid shove on the breaker bar cracks them loose.

    And remember, righty-tighty, lefty-loosy.

Yep, spray the threads where the bolt goes through the frame. Then use the torx bit with a breaker bar. Put a pipe on the breaker bar. Work it back and forth. At 1st, it won't feel like it's moving, but keep going back and forth. Eventually, it will start moving. Keep going back and forth. It will eventually go farther and farther. Keep going till it comes out. I have spent 20 minutes on each bolt before.

They rust from underneath. Makes it very difficult to get them out.

I pulled mine early in the truck's life and lathered them in antiseize.

Spray as best as you can beneath the heads/washers as well as the threads under the bed every day for a week with PB Blaster. That worked for me and didn’t do any damage

I cut the head and used an 18" pipe wrench and still had to pull hard to break them loose. The Torx head started striping as we all find.

These are tough, especially if you've never had them out before. Luckily I had removed mine once before when I did the d-rings, so I was able to get them out earlier this year when I replaced them.
For 5 of the 6, I used a 2' pipe over the socket wrench. Moved it 1/4" at a time. For the last one, I had to use my buddies big ass impact gun. My other friend tried his small impact gun and it didn't budge it. So it does depend on what size impact you're using.
Either way, good luck. I know something like that can be frustrating.

I ended up having to weld a nut on top of mine and using my big impact to remove it. Stripped the torx out trying to get it out to no avail. It worked really well.

Good to know, thanks! Just ordered a half inch T55 impact socket, and I'm going under the bed to spray the crap out of the bolts where they go into the frame. Guess that's my next project...

Mix 50/50 of acetone/ATF and apply to the bolt overnight. This homemade brew or even liquid wrench would be a better penetrating solution than PB blaster in this situation.

Drop your spare tire down. Should make it a lot easier to get to the threads that stick out through the frame. And like @Muddinfun said, once you do break them loose, go 1/4 turn out then 1/4 turn in. Then 1/2 turn out, 1/4 turn in, 1/2 turn out, 1/4 turn in. Keep working it like that (even add some more pb blaster to the threads both above and below the frame) until the bolts are a 'normal' level of tightness.

I’m thinking an impact driver, not impact wrench. Mine has a 1/2” square drive on the end, just like a ratchet. Ya know, you put your socket on it; twist then smack it with a hammer. Works great on stripped screw heads too.

The previous posted saturate with penetrant every day for a week definitely helps.

I cut the heads off, then punched the remaining bolt through. The nuts are welded to small bars that weren't hard to punch out.
I welded some flatbar to the flats of some regular hex bolts. The bar engaged the raised parts of the bed, so I could tighten the bolts from underneath. Or you could just use a helper to tighten them
