Appears those holes are to access components underneath?

Only on the driver's side since it's right above the fuel tank. I doubt you could fit anything through them anyway. There's nothing below on the passenger's side it just empties out a little ways in front of the top shock mount.

I don't understand how the bed can fill up, unless on a hill with the nose facing down? All the Tacoma's I see have drains at the front. Try a high pressure spray hose to clean the area at the front of the bed.
On flat ground water should drain under the tailgate too.

I just noticed my bed (95 ext cab 4x4) has draining slots between the front wall and the bottom. No plugs. Slots are about 3/8 by 1 inch easy clogged with dirty stuff (sticks, leafs or even christmas tree needles). There are total four of them.

That's how I cleaned snow out of mine.

All the OP needs to do is scratch the paint towards the front of the bed. Let nature take its course.

There are 4? I only noticed the two slots on the outsides, are there more toward the center? Mine get clogged easily after having a spray in bedliner installed. They kept the drains clear when spraying but the added thickness makes the entrance to the slots smaller.

I have two, as well. They clog easy. I unclog them with a feeler gauge.

I mean two on each side. Unless the one in the corner is a "nature hole" :).

    Pass side:

Actually both corner are still working that is why they are so dirty ;) It's raining now and my camper has a bad leak at the front corners (faulty seal between the bed and shell) so the bed is wet but empty.

The corners of my bed don't go through. I can stick a skinny screwdriver in the "inboard" ones from the bottom though.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
I started noticing mine not draining after Line X was applied. I have to go in there each time before raining season to clean out the holes or it holds water.

I take it back. My is not special. Only two drains. :smack: After I cleaned both corners I saw that the "outer" drain is just a dip and the water from there is flowing into the inboard hole and it is flowing down from there.

I am sorry if I mislead anyone. :sorry:

Anyone had to replace these? I have 2 of them as well and they could fly out driving.
