I've got an OR DCSB and am using the KB Voodoo Hi-Rise bars with my RTT. I've had this setup for almost a year and love it. Yeah, the paint on the mounts has some scrapes from taking the crossbars on and off, but as someone else mentioned that's to be expected. The tonneau is a LEER HF350M. I added weatherstripping between the cover's rail and the truck bed, and it stays almost completely dry.

    Works great for me.

Yes short bed, and no it doesn’t hang over, when it’s folded up of course ;)
Not sure on tent size actually. I’d say i could fit 3 men shoulder to shoulder in it

do either of you use any sort of “tamper resistant” nuts or bolts for your RTT mounting? I’d like to trust the world that no one is going to come unscrew my RTT off the back of my truck while I’m sleeping at home, if I left it mounted..

does such a thing even exist?

I did order the tamper resistant screws for my KB Voodoo rack once it arrives

I don't worry about it. I only have the tent mounted when I'm using it. The rest of the time it's stored up against the ceiling in my garage.

this may be a stupid question but I got my Kb Voodoo Hi Rise Crossbars this week and was just thinking if it made any sense to mount them to the truck before having my RTT. I don’t want to mount them and they not be the exact distance apart needed to match up with the pre-made holes on the bottom of the tent?? I plan on getting the Smittybilt, just stalking it daily on Amazon waiting for it to drop in price like it did in November 2019. Any input? Wait until I pull the trigger on the tent so I can measure out the “centered” distance needed between crossbars so it meets up with the pre-made holes most tents come with??? Thanks in advance!

the smittybilt tent comes with 4 predrilled holes for it’s own 2 crossbars. Using those crossbars, you can mount it anywhere on the KBVooDoo rack, as the mounting bolts slide through the length of the tent’s crossbars

Word to the wise, get some different locknuts than the ones provided if you plan to off-road it. Mine came loose on Mojave Road and damaged the tent and the bed rack. A fastener shop suggested the all-metal oblong lock nuts for severe vibrations
