Among everything else others have suggested, if you haven’t already, freeze your credit with the three credit agencies. Doesn’t cost anything and you have to create a pin number and without that pin you can’t do anything with your credit. Just a suggestion of course.

    Good advice!
I’d like to add, I keep my insurance card and vehicle registration in my wallet.
If a second person drives your vehicle regularly, have them keep copies of insurance and registration in their wallet.

If you park in your own garage at home but leave your garage door clicker in your vehicle, it also helps to have no address in your vehicle if someone happens to steal your vehicle and then decides to drive to your home and open up the garage and pull right in if no one is home.

At the least, they could do an open the garage, grab and go using your clicker with a different vehicle.

I like this! Does it fit only the drivers side or will it fit passenger side too? Did you install yourself?

Yes. I pulled late into campground one night. Didn't want to upset the neighbors by setting up. Crawled into back seat, hit lock on the fob. Woke up to pee in the night, opened door and upset the neighbors anyway. Seems like it took me forever to figure out what was going on.

Only on the driver's side. It's an easy install, takes a couple of minutes.
