    Hi All,

Last January I purchased a stock 4x4 Tacoma, slapped a topper on it, and built a sleeping platform. I used it to travel the American and Canadian west for June, July, and bit of August.

The key here is stock. I was definitely wasn't as prepared as I needed to be, but luckily, everything worked out. I'm planning on taking another two months this summer to do the same, but this time I'm looking for some recommendations:

    1. Any mechanical upgrades you'd suggest? I do some light off-roading / rough trails, but that's mostly to reach trail heads, explore old roads, or find camping sports. I'm not looking to tackle tough trails for just the sake of it.

    2. What components should I be inspecting prior to next summer? That truck got giggled around a ton, what should I inspect?

    3. Any fun items / creature comfort type products you'd like to recommend I utilize?

I appreciate any suggestions and I enjoy the wealth of information this forum provides. Thanks!
