So I'm wanting to do some extended bird hunting trips (with 2 dogs) up in northern Maine where there are well maintained camping/tenting sites.
I don't want to to with a popup tent trailer or a small travel trailer.

I'd like to tent, but really want a heat source. I believe I've narrowed it down to the 2 options below. I'll have a cot, small table and a dog bed for the dogs.

    1. One of those 10x10 wall spike tents (don't want a full framed wall tent) with one of those small wall tent stoves. I like the idea of vertical walls and plenty of height. Only downside is finding firewood and tougher to setup.

    2. A really good nylon tent (10x10 or so) with one of those Mr Buddy heaters. Less options with warming water, etc.

Does anyone have any hunting experience (preferably bird hunting with dogs) with a setup as described above or other options?

    Thanks!
