Truck Camping Photo Thread

Just found this thread. Went camping 3 weeks or so ago. This is what the GF calls "truck camping" (i.e. camping where you can drive to). I think she prefers to go backpacking and camp where nobody can find you. lol


Some day I'd like to get a topper or a RTT. Just $$$...

 

I'm 3rd Gen but I've had 2 2nd Gens (2006 and 2011) and the 3rd Gens just complain about their trucks so I'm joining you guys! Going to Ozarks next week, will post pics. Can't wait to get out, been too long!

 

I be able to post a few after this weekend. Going to Sylvania Wilderness one of the oldest Old growth forest still left. Only way you can get to a Site it to canoe. So needless to say the Taco won't be in the shot. But I'll get a shot of her in the lot.

 

Haha. Well if it makes you feel any better our prime camping season is coming to an end and yours is probably in full swing now that temperatures have hopefully dropped to a more comfortable level. So I'm sure I'll be jealous of you soon enough.

The lake I went to was around 3000ft elevation and also in the interior of BC. Everything's still pretty fairly green in the Lower Mainland (Vancouver Area).

 

Spent the night at New Brighton State Beach near Santa Cruz. Not a fan of designated campgrounds, but this one was very nice and quiet.

Bingo. He'd be so dark from dirt that he'd finally look Mexican if he was just out with me.

 

Went to check out some fall colors in the Arkansas River valley this past weekend. We were a little bit early, but there were still some awesome sights.





Hoping to hit the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley soon. Stay tuned to Tacoma World!

Can't double check this cause I'm on my phone but pretty sure. Then just copy and paste the BBCode from Flickr.

Edit: I don't think you're copying the BBCode from Flickr. If you're using the app I don't think its avaliable through there. Try using the actual webpage then copying the BBCode by clicking the "forward arrow" at the bottom of the image and selecting BBCode.

 

I can't get it to work on my iPhone, neither through the app or webpage. I use my laptop when posting pictures usually and its a breeze just copying the BBCodes. That is, when you can access them.

These are some photos from a trip I just finished with my wife. They are all from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The trip totaled nearly 2,500 miles over 11 days. The views the whole drive were fantastic and the camping was perfect this time of year.

 

Finding solitude in the Alabama Hills, Lone Pine Ca
After a long road trip fishing and hiking up and down the 395 , from Lone Pine to Carson City, it was good to find a camp site that had a great view and solitude for the last night on the road.
